Hot Tub & Spa Water Care Guide
Hot tub water changes faster than pool water because the volume is small, the temperature is high and the bather load is concentrated. A good spa routine therefore depends on frequent testing, consistent filtration and cleaning—not on adding a different product every time the water looks off.

Build a routine instead of chasing symptoms
Test sanitizer and water balance consistently. Rinse or service filters as needed. Keep the cover and waterline clean. Reduce the amount of lotions, detergents and other contaminants entering the water. Then use specialized products when a specific problem calls for them.
Know when maintenance has reached its limit
Clarifier can help with fine suspended material and defoamer can temporarily suppress visible foam, but neither replaces correcting the underlying source. Likewise, line cleaner belongs in a drain-and-refill routine; it is not a substitute for ongoing sanitation.
