Opening Your Pool

A good spring opening is about sequence. Cleaning, circulation and testing come before trying to solve every water issue with chemicals.

Pool opening checklist

1. Remove the cover and large debris.
2. Reassemble and inspect equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions.
3. Restore circulation and verify that the system is operating normally.
4. Test the water and correct balance and sanitizer according to your pool system.
5. Use seasonal opening treatments only as their label directs.

Do not skip the basics

An opening product cannot compensate for a filter that is not working, debris still in the pool or water chemistry that has not been tested.
